There are two things that we at Oodle HQ think go together well... a great cup of coffee and our fur child.  So understandably we have to think of where he's allowed to go too. We have put together a list of just some of the businesses that we have found allow dogs, and who provide water bowls and kindness for our dear pooch.

Tauranga / Mount Maunganui:
  • Nourish Cafe, Te Puna has an outdoor area for well-behaved pooches
  • Cafe Botannix Bethlehem - welcomes dogs in the outdoor area
  • Patio Rose Cafe, Tauriko has an outdoor area
  • The dairy next to Tay Street Cafe is awesome! While you order a coffee, the guy who runs the place will bring a bowl of water out for your dog, sometimes with a scoop of ice-cream in it OR he'll give your pooch a sausage roll. What a good chap, we at Oodle HQ say!
  • Grindz Cafe, Tauranga CBD - allows dogs while you eat outside
  • Le Petit Four Cafe, Chapel Street - allows dogs outside, and will bring a water bowl for your pooch
  • Eighty Eight Cafe, Mount Maunganui - dogs are allowed outside on leads.
  • The Burnt Fig Cafe, Brookfield and Kitchen Republic on Bureta Rd both have dog bowls and an outdoor area
  • Cherry Tree Espresso Bar, Cherrywood has a dog bowl of water and scooby snacks that you can purchase for your pooch. Outdoor seating only. They make lovely coffee and muffins for the people too.  ;-)
  • The Rising Tide, Newton St - has been know to bring a bowl of water for the dog
  • Tahlula's Cafe, Grange Rd
  • Cafe Eden, Decor Garden Centre, Bethlehem
  • CBK Craft Bar & Kitchen, Red Square, CBD
  • The Raft, Chapel Street - has a nice outdoor deck and dog water bowls
  • Good Local, Pyes Pa - allow dogs outside in the covered area

Omokoroa:
  • Beached on Blue Cafe, Omokoroa

These are just a few businesses in the B.O.P. that we personally and/or BOP Oodle Club members, (if that was you, we thank you for your contribution), have recognised as making it a great experience for both us and our fur-iends.

We would love to hear of any others.

Thanks!

At Oodle HQ, we're all about learning more about our dogs and ourselves.  All this, inspired by Otis, our family's labradoodle x poodle.  Woof!
