There is oodles of fun on offer for poodles and other dog breeds plus their owners at the Bay of Plenty Oodle Club.
Christine Sadlier, who also describes herself as "pack leader", said the club she founded about three years ago for oodles (labradoodles) soon attracted other dog breeds as well. Members, including young people and elderly in wheelchairs, and their pets meet the first Sunday of the month at the Beach Rd end of Fergusson Park. It's a chance for owners to socialise with each other and their dogs to exercise and have epic play dates with other dogs.

There are two things that we at Oodle HQ think go together well... a great cup of coffee and our fur child. So understandably we have to think of where he's allowed to go too. We have put together a list of just some of the businesses that we have found allow dogs, and who provide water bowls and kindness for our dear pooch.
Tauranga / Mount Maunganui:
A big doggy playdate at Fergusson Park was oodles of fun at the weekend. The Bay of Plenty Oodle Club has a monthly get-together of poodle and poodle crosses, as well as other small beeds, on the first Sunday of the month from 2pm to 3pm at the Beach Rd end. Dogs came dressed up and there were prizes for best dressed, waggiest tail, smallest dog, biggest dog and best tricks.
